Design competition for the construction of new schools, with the replacement of buildings (green Revolution and the transition to digital – energy Efficiency and renovation of buildings) – funded by the european Union – Next Generation EU

The project proposal is born from the idea of a contemporary school characterized by the relationship with nature and with the surrounding urban context and is based on the desire to build a place that can offer a better quality of life by promoting a more resource-conscious, and to the needs of the environment.
The goal was to integrate the principles of pedagogy and architecture with the architectural choices, paying attention to the climatic context, the environmental health and safety and renewable energy.
The project has proposed building modular, adaptable to the scale of the neighbourhood, and made with eco friendly materials, sustainable and prefabricated, defined by a sequence of open spaces, semi-open and closed; new scenarios of architectural and urban which bring the complex to become a center open to city activities, extension complementary to those strictly of the school.
The idea for the project came from the need to rethink the school as the place for the construction of society: an integrated and flexible, in which the environments are composed of modular spaces and multifunctional, easily reconfigurable. The design of the space is aimed at the enhancement of the approach is pedagogical in which the search for contact with the outside world, and the overall accessibility of spaces are functional for a teaching continues, in which the physical space of the school is put at the service of the project, the training became an integral part of.
The school complex is designed in compliance with standards of structural safety and environmental sustainability; provided, also, engineering solutions that meet the criteria of quality and innovation, and a building automation system to enable the monitoring of consumption, the adjustment of the indoor climate and the reduction of energy costs.
