The redevelopment of the sports facility aimed to enhance the value of the surrounding area, improve the range of services provided and establish a strong urban and architectural identity, addressing the effects of years of neglect and progressive deterioration of structures and open spaces.

The design proposal focused on expanding the range of sports equipment available and defining technical and technological solutions to improve the overall quality of the facility. The main aspects of improvement included the structural efficiency, the safety of spectators and athletes and the economic sustainability of the necessary interventions.

Specifically, the project included the construction of a pitch suitable for both competitive and recreational 5-a-side and 8-a-side football, along with the provision of the necessary equipment for these disciplines. It also encompassed the creation of a padel court, a court for competitive 3x3 basketball ("street basketball") and an outdoor fitness trail designed for light and functional exercise, featuring fitness equipment and shock-absorbing flooring. Additionally, it involved the construction and energy efficiency improvement of a new locker room block serving the facility, as well as landscaping works.

The upgrades to the facility and its associated spaces were designed to make it accessible and usable for a diverse range of users engaging in various amateur and recreational sports. The intervention sought to infuse the redeveloped complex with multidisciplinary qualities and multifunctionality.
