The sports complex “St. Peter”, which has always been a meeting point for all the inhabitants of Sesto Campano and the neighboring countries, both for the conduct of the practice of soccer, both for the vision of the matches in the Regional championship of Excellence, has a vocation to be a purely social aims to implement the processes of integration and inclusion through the dissemination of the values of sport, such as respect for the rules and the other, the equal opportunities, the dissemination of the principles of non-discrimination. The intervention falls within the scope of the systems that have as their purpose the dissemination of sports equipment, with the goal to remove the economic and social imbalances that exist.
The project has been designed with the objective of enhancing the activity of sport as a tool of integration and socialization, as a moment of aggregation and fun collective; to protect the health, physical and psychological health, with prevention of major diseases related to a sedentary lifestyle; to improve the sporting heritage and public services offered; to protect the sports reality that work and are rooted in the territory.
The intervention entailed the redevelopment of the football field synthetic grass with attached lighting, restoration, and improvement of the perimeter fences, the renovation of the terrace for the local spectators and the renovation and upgrading the energy efficiency of the block dressing room. The new lighting system consists of four light towers, h= 20 m, and the assembly of 16 led headlamps asymmetric 1000 W, luminous efficiency equal to 116,36 Lm/W. For the system is provided with an average illuminance of 170 lux allowing the execution of activities, even during the night hours.
The plants of the block dressing room have been optimized in order to obtain jointly to improve energy efficiency to the highest standards of efficiency, thanks to the installation of a generator consists of a system of integrated heat pump, condensing boiler, storage and solar thermal. The above was provided in order to restore the full functionality of the sports facility, so as to return to the meeting point and meeting place for the whole of the hinterland.
