The proposed design emphasises urban regeneration as a fundamental tool for reducing degradation and addressing social marginalisation. By regenerating key areas, the community can reclaim and reimagine spaces, enhancing quality of life and increasing their value. Urban regeneration, as envisioned in this project, integrates optimisation and innovation to create spaces that enable a city to be truly interconnected, secure, green, and sustainable. One of the main aims of the project is the development of the new sports centre, recognising its essential social role within the city. The centre supports diverse functions, fostering both formal and functional connections that strengthens community cohesion.

To ensure both aesthetic and functional quality, the design focuses on the individual experience, emphasising perceptual elements and recognition of its identity. The goal is to create structures and spaces that evoke well-being, reverse deterioration, and transform abandoned or neglected areas into engaging and pleasant environments.

The project incorporates advanced automation systems for control and management of technological infrastructure. A cloud-based monitoring mechanism has been integrated to enhance environmental performance, reduce operating and maintenance costs and ensure sustainability from both an environmental and economic perspective.

The solar-powered bus shelter features charging points for electric vehicles, contributing to the goal of promoting green and sustainable mobility solutions.

The facilities were built using materials compliant with regulatory requirements to ensure certification and the proper conditions for hosting competitive events with spectators. The existing football field was upgraded to meet FIGC (Italian Football Federation) standards, allowing its certification to host semi-professional championship matches.
